France - Chambreteau, La Rochelle, Bordeaux to Biscarrosse

Back a few photos, in the full shot of St Andre Cathedral, I included the Bell Tower. This is just the top section so you can see the golden statue of Our Lady of Aquitane at the top of the central spire. The Pey-Berland Bell Tower (named after the Archbishop) is built separately to St Andrew's Cathedral to avoid the vibrations from the Bell which weighs 8 tonnes! It was built in the mid 15th Century in similar flamboyant Gothic Style to the rest of the church. The bell tower has 4 levels and 231 steps up take you to a viewing platform across Bordeaux.
